Executive Summary

Through all these years and seeing Adena Coffee has grown up from just a part-time project to become a real serious green beans shop is really an amazing feeling and gives us a huge joy. We remember when we built Adena, three adolescents who shared and still share that same dream for Indonesian Coffee and commit to develop and unearth hidden jewels scattered all across Indonesia. We

believe that Indonesia is one of many coffee heavens in the world. From Gayo, Sumatra, Java, Molucca to Papua, Ambon and Sulawesi, you could easily find good coffee which worth to be developed, researched and engineered such that will give you the truly best of Indonesia. With so many coffee beans waiting to be unearthed, Adena was, is and will always be there as the avant garde company to develop Indonesia coffee in downstream to upstream level.

Adena was formed in 2014 by three persons who shared one dream of serving the best coffee beans both from inside and outside Indonesia. With our tag lines “The Best from Our Mother Nature”, we define quality as one of main core identity of Adena. Our vision is to become barometer of Indonesian Coffee Beans, thus we keep developing coffee business not only in upstream level such as coffee processing and coffee machinery, but also downstream level which includes creating market and quality control. We believe that every beans scattered all over Indonesia deserves to be developed and valued as highly as possible so Adena, until 2016, has developed 3 coffee farms in Sumatra Gayo and West Java. Currently we are in the middle of developing other coffee farms in Indonesia such as Toraja from Sulawesi Island and Sumatra Lintong. We are also selling green beans from outside

Indonesia and out latest product is Aricha Ethiopia Natural Process.

Gayo Kenawat Estate (Gayo Kampung Kenawat)

With variety landscape and altitude around 1550 MASL spreads across the farm, Kenawat Estate is one of many hidden jewel in Gayo we were able to discover. Located in Kenawat Village, Lut Tengah District, Gayo, Kenawat Estate was firstly developed back in November 2015 with production around 2 tons green beans per year and still continue growing, 5 tons expected in 2017 and 8 tons in 2018. With our supervision and optimization approach, Kenawat Estate is now already using hulling machine and sealed bath for coffee fermentation. Upcoming infrastructures we supervise and engineer are green house and automatic size grading. Different variant of coffee processing currently under development and research phase. Currently we are now supplying Kenawat Estate Dry and Wet Hulled with Wet Fermentation, Honey Process and Natural Process. As one of our pioneer project, we are in charge of coffee quality control and coffee processing research with cooperation between Adena and local coffee processor.

West Java Kareumbi (Sunda Kareumbi)

Kareumbi is our very first project, located in the foot of Kareumbi Mountain, West Java Province, Indonesia, Kareumbi is a micro lot project with around 800 kilograms of green beans every year and expected a gradually production capacity increase to 1 tons in 2016 and 3 tons in 2017. The farm has altitude around 1100-1150 MASL. Currently we are designing and engineered 2 new green houses and still perfecting new coffee process. Ready stock green beans are Kareumbi Honey Process and Kareumbi Dry Hulled Wet Fermentation Process. Market share for Kareumbi is mostly located in Jakarta and a few in Yogyakarta, Central Java Province.

O U R F U T U R EAdena is still growing and has its own Indonesian loyal costumer. Therefore, we are very excited to develop and having some business expansion both in upstream and downstream level. Coffee Roasting, Beans Shop and Exporting Green Beans would be our main focuses for downstream expansion while Kenawat Estate, West Java Kareumbi, Toraja and Sumatra Lintong will be sustainably developed as our part in upstream level. We also have desire to globalize Adena, supplying Indonesian Coffee to coffee drinker and roaster all around the world. We hope through this expansions, we could achieve our big vision, to become barometer of Indonesia Coffee both in local and international market.

“Trustyworthy” and “Accountable” are the main aspects why I do business with Adena Coffee. Eagerness in learning and doing this business does feels well connected with the upstream side. Also Adena able to apply good business ethics and always give their best

fot customer. In term of distribution lines, Adena is there to shorten the gap between upstream and downstream coffee industry with visible yet educated information for both sides. Adena appears to be a bridge between micro roaster and farmer through transpparence information, good communications and excelent coffee quality.

Two thumbs up!

Before Adena Coffee came, Kenawat was just a small-resided village who was totally unfamiliar in ears of coffee industries. Through cooperation and sustainable efforts by Adena, also collaborations with local farmers, Kenawat got its own place within Indonesia specialty coffee market. Financial support without interest, quality control knowledge and coffee tools machinery are main developments which has been implemented in Kenawat by Adena Coffee. We hope that Adena could become model of coffee company who practice good business ethics. Adena was and is able to forget good collaboration between local coffee processors and coffee market in downtown. Futhermore, not only Kenawat, but we

hope that Adena could do another projects in others farms.

We are very pleased to do business with Adena Coffee. Good service, good coffee, quality, and flexible payment method put my rating 10/10 for Adena Coffee. Even just for asking information about coffee beans, consultation, and product knowledge, Adena

always give their best for it. Top 10/10 quality.
