Where growers have taken actionDowny Mildew levels have largelyremained steady with little secondaryspread. Generally the warnings have

been heard and acted upon in anadequate period.

The main disease issues have beenseen in vineyards that have not beenadequately protected (left). Thesevineyards now have a significant levelof Downy Oilspots and in some rarecases bunch loss (below left).

It is strongly recommended growersinclude Downy Mildew protectants

with their remaining fungicide sprays. The late season options are captan, copper or mancozeb.

Weed growthWeeds levels have also increased as recent rainfall and dews keep plants fresh and actively growing.Wireweed, especially has thrived in the humid, shaded environments.
