Recycled Stormwater

• Harvest Volumeso Current – 8 GL/annumo Committed – 13 GL/annumo Proposed – 10 GL/annumUSHOS 6.2, 11.6, 8.8 – 26.6 GL/a

• “Water For Good” targeted capture and harvest of 35 GL/annum by 2025



Sewage

• 85 GL/annum currently produced in the greater Adelaide area.

• Approximately 25 GL/annum is reused.

• Storage requirement 40 GL (Hope Valley + Happy Valley 14 GL)



Recycled Stormwater v’s Treated Effluent

• Combined potential yield ≈ 140 GL/annum

• 75% of Adelaide's current mains water supply, (≈ 180 GL/a) & 40% of the predicted 2050 supply (≈360 GL/a) .

• Demand for non-potable water less than potential supply – prioritisation of treated wastewater v's stormwater required. (Council irrigation Demand 5 GL/a)

• A number of constructed, committed & proposed networks across metro Adelaide.

• Connection between networks to provide reliability of supply across council boundaries.
