Research conducted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services suggests that problems with your teeth and gums could be associated with other health conditions, including diabetes and heart disease.

That’s why MUST provides optional dental coverage to members in addition to medical plans. BlueCare Dental Connection offers educational information and outreach to help you make informed decisions about your dental care. The below information highlights the dental coverage offered by MUST.

To access the Dental Wellness Center, log in to Blue Access for Members at bcbsmt.com and click on the My Health tab.

Coverage for dental care is based on your benefit plan. If you have questions about your plan, check your benefit booklet or call the number on the back of your member ID card.

Vision Coverage*

Regular exams are a simple, noninvasive tool to help identify early signs of serious and chronic health conditions. And because early detection is key for treatment, regular eye examinations play a vital role in a healthy life and in helping you see life to the fullest. All members with medical coverage are provided one annual eye examination as a covered preventive benefit. MUST also provides optional vision hardware coverage to members.

Eye exams play an important role in your overall wellness, and you should get one every year for optimal vision and medical health.

Life & Long-Term Disability (LTD) Benefits

Basic Life and Disability Insurance - Included with all MUST plans.

MUST has partnered with UNUM to provide high quality life and disability benefits to our members. We recognize that benefits are a valuable part of your compensation package. The MUST-Unum relationship provides a basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) ($10,000) and long term disability (LTD) policy to all eligible employees enrolled in our medical coverage – either as a policyholder, employee spouse, or employee dependent child.

Travel Assist Benefit – Included with all MUST plans

A unique, valuable travel benefit is included with the UNUM Basic Life policy. This means whenever your employee travels 100 miles or more from home the worldwide emergency travel assistance phone number can provide access to: prescription replacement assistance, hospital admission assistance, emergency medical evacuation, transportation for a friend or family member to join a hospitalized patient, assistance with the return of a vehicle, care and transport of unattended minor children, and emergency trauma counsel, just to name a few.

Buy-up and Voluntary Life and Disability – Optional

In addition to the basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, MUST makes available to groups and their employees other voluntary benefits, including additional group term life/AD&D (employer paid), supplemental group LTD insurance (employer paid), and group voluntary term life/AD&D insurance (employee paid).
