Additional FY 2008 Medicaid Budget Reductions Effective with BPW Actions on 7/11/2007 Item Medical Care Provider Reimbursements-Anti- psychotics in PDL Total Funds 2,400, 000 Gener al Funds 1,200, 000 Description Include anti-psychotics on preferred drug list effective January, 2008. Medical Care Provider Reimbursements-Hospital day limits 29,240 ,000 14,620 ,000 Continue day limits at 120% of average length of stay for all of FY08. Medical Care Provider Reimbursements-Nursing home rates 8,600, 000 4,300, 000 Increase nursing home savings contingent upon federal approval of nursing home quality assessment fee. Reduction assumes 9 month implementation in FY08. Medical Care Provider Reimbursements-MCO rates 8,900, 000 4,440, 000 4,450, 000 2,220, 000 Reduce MCO mid-year adjustment for July'07. Reduce FY08 base line for mid-year adjustment. Medical Care Provider Reimbursements-HIV drugs 3,000, 000 1,500, 000 Carve-out specific HIV drugs from the MCO formulary and pay fee- for-service to achieve savings from higher rebates.
