Report Offensive Post

Lindsay's Lohan has to accept the fact that she is an addict. If, shedoesn't it could be a long and slow death or one day she will be founddead. She has to change her thinking. Stay away frompeople(including family) who are leeches and develop over time self-esteem. She has to go and s tay in meetings and work a program of complete recovery. Prognosis- this might take a miracle.

She has to want the help. Untill then, there's nothing anyone can do.She knows what she's doing and this is her choice. I don't feel bad for addicts who want to stay that way.

Report Offensive Post

I agree with the 2 other posters, Lindsay has to accept the fact she'san addict. You would think by now she would accept it. But, she keepsgetting bailed out. Jail was a joke. Rehab is a joke. Court was a joke. She had "fu_k u" on her middle finger nail, pointed at the Judge. It'sonly a matter of time before she kills someone, or herself. That'swhen her parents will sue s aying the courts weren't tough enough.

BILL: Esprit de corps—

DR. DAVE:  From day one, our major measuring yardstick was how well did the addict getalong in NON-treatment groups. In the dining room, with the visiting alumni, or thecommunity outings. That's been the mark of success or failure in all the treatmentcenters I have been affiliated with.

BILL: Reading Corey Haim's biography, it was clear that drugs kept him from going backto restart his development with friends his own age.

DR. DAVE: When Lindsay went off on an extravagant Cannes vacation between rehabs,my feeling was, there it was again – a dis missal of targeted aftercare, whereprofessionals and pe ers would help her "come of age" with the social development she

needs in recovery.

BILL:  So your prognosis for her is --?

DR. DAVE: Bill, you tell me.

Dr. David Moore is a licensed psychologist and chemical dependency professional who is

a graduate school faculty member at Argosy University's Seattle Campus. Bill Manville is
