LOT 1416 - The manufacturer confirmed that this rifle choked shotgun was completed in May 1907 for M. Fleisehmann Esq.

LOT 1445 - The manufacturer confirmed that this shotgun was completed on 15 October 1923 for H.E. Allen with single trigger and patent detachable locks with hinged cover plates. The extra 32 inch barrels with 2 ¾ inch chambers were completed in 1955 for H.B. Readings.

LOT 1454 - The butt stock is no longer loose.

LOT 1470 - The manufacturer confirmed that this rifle was completed on 11 April 1933 for Manton & Co. of Calcutta. It is noted as being 510 grade with Westley Richards snap lever work and 26 inch chopperlump barrels with a sunken rib.

LOT 1473 - The manufacturer confirmed that this rifle was completed in December 1937 for H. Gros. The records note the chambering as .500 Rimless “Schuler” regulated for a 535 grs bullet.

LOT 1489 - Includes a factory letter.

LOT 1501 - Includes a full blue magazine with an engraved base plate having “COLT SUPER/.38 AUTO.” in gold.

LOT 1563 - There is a light ring in the bore 2 inches from the muzzle.

LOT 1565 - A magazine is included in the lot.

LOT 1566 - Has a matching slide.

LOT 1595 - The grips are also matching, numbered “39” on the back of each panel. The correctly numbered grips were found on LOT 1541 from our April 2016 auction, which was Walther Model AP Serial Number 44. Both pistols now have their correct grips.

LOT 1597 - Though not documented, the first line appears to be the name “Margarete Slezak”; a singer and actress with a career spanning from Weimar Germany to post-War West Germany, Slezak is one of the women noted as being close to Hitler. Reports vary on just how close the two got, with some French reports from the era suggesting that they got very, very close, going as far as to name her one of his ‘secret lovers’. Reports also place her as a mutual friend of Hitler and Leni Riefenstahl, noted maker of Nazi propaganda, famous for

“Triumph of the Will” and related works, who also suffered accusations of being with Hitler both during and after the War. A similarly signed amber-covered presentation copy of Mein Kampf can be seen in Lot #1599.

LOT 1599 - With the exception of the crisp “H” in his own last name, Hitler’s handwriting is borderline unreadable, though the first line may be addressed to Margarete Slezak an actress and singer with a career stretching from Weimar Germany to West Germany. Slezak is noted as a contemporary of both Adolf Hitler and Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl. The full nature of her relationship to Hitler is a matter of speculation, with both Slezak and Riefenstahl being among the women accused of being in secret relationships with the Fuehrer. Slezak would certainly count as ‘close’ to the party leadership. A fine silver framed presentation Hitler portrait which also appears signed to Slezak can be seen in Lot #1597.

LOT 1607 - Small chip present on top left of the grip, and small cracks on the back..
