Vertebrae-Three Piece, a large three piece sculpture, created byEngland’s famed sculptor, Henry Moore, was recently lifted from a LykesBrothers Steamship Company seabee barge at the Port of Houston, bound for its resting place in front of City Hall in Dallas. The sculpturewas lifted by Inter-Ocean Stevedores under the direction of ArthurMackwell of Morris Singer Foundry, and placed on an MKT Railroad flatcar for transit to Dallas. Because of the unique nature of the cargo, threemonths of coordination between Morris Singer Foundry, Pitt & Scott Ltd.,Lykes Brothers, Darrell J. Sekin & Co. Inc., MKT Railroad and the City ofDallas preceeded the physical handling of the sculpture. Shown here isone of the three pieces being placed on an MKT flat car.

Upon arrival in Nigeria, the ships of Lignes Centrafricaines dock within seven days under normalconditions. Whereas everyone else usually waits weeks.

Because we’re independent.

Also, because we’re based in Nigeria we know the ins and outs of getting our ships, and yourcargo, in and out. Quickly. If there’s even a threat of a delay in our ships docking, we transport your cargo to berth by way ofcovered and secured barges.

And when it comes to getting your cargo out of the U.S., we’re also very fast.

After all, we offer more ships to West Africa than anyone else. What’s more, our speedy and ex-press direct service from the U.S. Gulf Coast to Nigeria doesn’t cost extra.Fact is, because we’re independent, our rates can be considerably lower than other lines.

Find out how much you can save. On rates. And time. Simply call our general agents, Oceans In-ternational Corporation.

Whatever type of cargo you want to send, Lignes Centrafricaines gives berth faster than anyone.
