Dear Mr. MarleyYou have requested information about steel bands consequently, I am sending you several pamphlets. They include the following The Steel Band, Beating the Drum, and West Indian Music.

The pamphlets will not arrive for two weeks therefore, I shall describe steel bands briefly in this letter. Steel bands first became popular in Trinidad they quickly spread to other parts of the Carribean. The main types of steel drums are: the ping pong, the guitar, and the bass.
