Etched Brass An affordable alternative to cloisonné, our etched pin beginsas a brass “finding.”The part is then trimmed to the desired shape, polished, and thenplated in 14 karat gold or silver. The recessed areas are filled with enamel color andbaked for durability.

Die-Struck Heavy gauge brass, the same thickness as our cloisonné pins, isstruck with a die containing your image. The parts are then plated in either 18 karatgold or nickel silver. Machine polished to bring out the raised detail, brilliant softenamel is then hand applied to the recessed areas to meet your design requirements.

Imitation Cloisonné One of the highest quality, custom hand-filled pins.The design is stamped into high quality copper/brass. The recessed areas are over-filled with color and fired at 1400° F. We then hand-stone the face of the pin until thefill is equal in height with the retaining wall, leaving a perfectly smooth surface.Plated in either 18 karat gold or nickel silver, the part is finally hand polished to a bril-liant finish ready to be presented as an award or recognition piece.

Computer Artwork: All of the followingconditions must be met for all digitally gen-erated artwork, or additional charges willapply. Correctly prepared, digitally generatedartwork will avoid extra art charges.

A / All E-mailed artwork must have thesubject line specifying the customer and withP.O. number references.

B / All copy, images, and product dimen-sions must be 100 percent (actual) size andready for output — per factory specifications.

C / Artwork is acceptable in Macintoshcompatible programs—delivery via email ispreferred. Other media accepted are:

This also applies to PC format artwork.

D / Only the latest versions of the followingprograms may be used to produce andsubsequently generate usable artwork:

F / All printer and screen fonts used must beincluded on the disk along with the artworksubmission. If fonts cannot be supplied, alltype must be changed to paths.

G / PMS spot colors may not be convertedto CMYK unless they are part of a submitted4-color process job.

H / All Photoshop linked files must be aminimum of 300 dpi and saved in EPS or TIFFformat in CMYK mode.

I / Compression utilities, if used, must alsobe submitted with the artwork.“Stuffit”is thepreferred compression program.

J / Multi-colored laser printed proofs and/orpaper separations, if multi-colored, mustaccompany the submitted artwork. These arefor reference only. Contract proofs, ifprovided by factory, and part of the order,may or may not match laser printed copiesprovided by customer. This is due todissimilar printing processes. Matchprintsmust be submitted for all film supplied4-color process jobs.

K / All colors must be trapped to a minimumof .5 point. All image bleeds must extend aminimum of 1/8 inch beyond cut lines.

L / All specifications must be met and veri-fied by the factory before final submission ofcomputer generated artwork.

M / Unsuitable artwork is subject to a mini-mum one hour art charge. Customer will benotified if additional time is needed for

corrections or if new artwork has to besubmitted. In this instance, the factory willchoose the most cost effective method.

N / Unsuitable artwork normally delaysproduction 1 to 5 days based on how muchtime is required to bring artwork to specs.

Providing Film: Supplied film negativesmust be separated for each color desired.Negatives must be emulsion side up, rightreading. Film output for halftones must be at133 line screen. Color trapping must be pro-vided — at . 5 point. Film submitted withoutnecessary trapping will result in additionalart time charges.

Four-Color Process: Films to specificationsare preferred, with a Chromalin proof. If filmscannot be provided, output and film chargeswill apply; call for current charges.

Union Label: Our products are manufac-tured by members of Local No.24 IUAN and PW, AFL-CIO.
