The vintage reds, who were extremely missed on the Europeans premier competition the Champions League this season, they was guaranteed a place when the arch rivals Liverpool were left a fifth position in the Barclays Premier League when they lost to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

While they made their way into the champion’s league they have win a two-legged game in August 18th/19th and 25th/26th. UEFA have decided to do a ‘champion route’ and a ‘league route’. This features the first section of the clubs who have won their leagues in some of Europe’s lesser counties.

Manchester United are self-assured that they will progress through the champion league qualifiers because they are the highest rank team there and they will be playing against teams who are not as tough as them.

If the classic reds progress through the group stage properly, the draw between clubs which takes place on the 27th August, then the reds will be in seeding pot two. UEFA, have however made the champions of the seven biggest leagues in Europe which include Europe, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Germany and Russia are now being named as the top clubs along with this year’s champions Barcelona or Juventus. This means the classic red could face the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica or Porto. United cannot play any English clubs which they will be avoiding Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

I the champion’s league winner are also their domestic league winners, then the champions of the eighth-ranked country, Netherlands would be named as a top club to go through the champion’s league.

The final four teams in each group will come from the third or fourth position which will feature sides which have made it through the earlier qualifying process, who could be either Juventus or Barcelona because they are in the final and they have an automatic entry into the champions league.
