LIST

OF

SCHOLARSHIPS

FOR

COLLEGE

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

The scholarships listed in this booklet are those for which the Fitch High School Counseling Department received information or applications from the previous school years. The deadlines are approximate and may be slightly different from year to year and subject to changes at the scholarship grantor’s discretion. In addition, scholarship opportunities may be discontinued at the discretion of the grantor.

Please go to Naviance also. Scholarship list is located under Colleges.

Our effort in providing this list is to create an awareness of scholarships for which our students may be qualified. The dates are based on the previous year’s deadline at the time of printing. Please check the Naviance scholarship list for the most up-to-date information. Applications may be obtained from the scholarship web site. If the scholarship has no web site, the College/Career Center Scholarship File will have a copy approximately one or two months before the deadline. It is each student’s responsibility to obtain a scholarship application, complete all necessary forms and return the application to his/her Guidance counselor well in advance of the deadline.

Additional scholarship information may often be obtained through a parent’s place of employment, or organizations, associations or clubs to which they may be affiliated.

Universities and colleges may offer non-need based scholarships that they administer. Students should check the catalogs of the respective colleges to which they intend to apply, to determine if they meet the criteria for any of these scholarships. ACADEMIC COMPETITIVENESS GRANTS AND NATIONAL SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS ACCESS TO RETAIN TALENT (SMART) GRANTS Who May Apply: Undergraduate students enrolled or accepted for enrollment in participating schools may apply.
