Adam Elmakias was born June 25th 1989 in Madison Wisconsin. Adam is know for his work as a music and travel photographer. As a music photographer he travels around with touring bands and takes pictures of them while on stage and such. While working in yearbook in high school a counselor saw how talented he was which influenced him to become a photographer. His work appears in magazines (Alternative press magazine.)

Photo 1: “My gear, and my pass”

The lighting in this photo is natural. The main subject in this photo is his gear, his feet, and pass. This picture contains rule of thirds, and grouping. The story behind this picture is of him doing job and working (him being a photographer) that is why I choose this photo. I also choose it because it is recent and the band he’s touring with is still currently on tour.

Photo 2: All time low tour The lighting in this picture being used is artificial lighting. The main subject in this is the venue/ stage and everything in or around it. The story behind this photo goes along with the first photo (Adam traveling with bands taking photos) Balance, selective focus, leading lines, lighting, and horizon lines is what makes this picture so interesting. I choose this picture because it stood out from the rest and looked different and this is the band he’s touring with.

Photo 3: “Rob Dyer”

The lighting being used is natural. The main subject in this photo is Rob. The story behind this photo: Rob Dyer skates across continents to raise money and awareness for cancer. What makes this photo so striking other than the story is the use of balance, horizon lines, and selective focus. I choose this picture because of the story behind it and it was different compared to the others.

The lighting is natural. The main subjects in this picture is the band. What makes this picture so striking is the use of selective focus, rule of thirds, and grouping. I choose this photo because its bright and cheerful.

Photo 5: “Dylan !”

Gray scale. The main subject in this picture is the dog. The story behind this picture: Adam was in the process of a photo shoot with Hannah Snowdon when he took this picture of her dog Dylan. What makes this photo so striking is the use of balance, leading lines (floorboards) and selective focus. I choose this photo because Adam usually takes pictures of bands or men and it was something different.
