IN THE AIRPORT INDUSTRY
As central points of infrastructure airports are essentialfor a countryrsquos economy Increasing globalization in com-
bination with liberalization of the international aviation
market has led to the steadily growing importance of air
traffic Airports have become multifunctional facilities of-fering a huge variety of shopping office and operational
areas
Airport investors airport operators governments and civil
aviation authorities face huge challenges when it comes
to the development of airports Each airport follows dif-
ferent market drivers has its own special capacity limita-tions needs different capital expenditure and last but not
least is in a different financial situation The complexity of
the aviation industry combined with the individual situa-tion of each airport requires a tailor-made and integrated
approach to successfully overcome all the hurdles
Over the last two decades airports have become afascinating target for different types of investors Airports
have a transparent legal basis and their new and growing
commercial activities offer investors interesting upside
potentials
The fine balance which exists between growth CAPEX
optimization and profitability requires a holistic approach
Airport transactions in particular require this holistic viewndash it is the basis for quick and reliable information
Our one-stop shop philosophy for airport consultingprojects and airport transactions offers huge advantages
in terms of time efficiency communication and costs
In many of our past projects we not only dealt with theperspectives and interests of various key stakeholders
(eg ministries civil aviation authorities airport manage-
ments and airport authorities national carriers air traffic
control) and provided consultative advice but have oftentaken different roles eg as consultant consortium mem-
ber shareholder bid manager or key advisor and even as
the qualified principal airport operator
With a strong track record in such operative assignments
we understand and bring with us the operatorrsquos point of
view This is a unique value added advantage which setsus apart from other airpor t and aviation consultants
rdquoWe truly understand both sides ofthe coin that of the consultant andthat of the operator and investor

With a strong track record in such operative assignments
we understand and bring with us the operatorrsquos point of
view This is a unique value added advantage which setsus apart from other airpor t and aviation consultants

optimization and profitability requires a holistic approach
