Actors

The first character that we are going to be using in our opening sequence is the female protagonist. We are going to use an actress who is a teenager to help us portray the idea of a female protagonist. Although the audience are not going to see her face, they will recognise the female figure and automatically be aware of the gender of the protagonist. We have taken inspiration from “The Woman In Black” film as we are using a female protagonist that is faceless. The idea of using a faceless women is a very good way to portray the actress’ character as being very hidden away about what she really feels and leaves the audience wondering why she is following/stalking the female actress in the opening sequence. This links in with the genre of the opening sequence as typical conventions of a Psychological Thriller include stalking and following of a person or a group of people.Using a teenager as the protagonist is going to make the audience be able to relate to the actress as our target audience is teenagers therefore teenagers playing actors in the film is going to make the audience a lot more interested in the overall idea of the film.

The last character that we are going to be using is the teenage victim. The

actor is going to be a teenager who is going to be stalked and followed by the protagonist throughout

the duration of the opening sequence. Having a female victim in the opening sequence is going to make the audience relate to the situation as our

target audience are teenagers so its going to make them think about what they would do in the

teenagers situation. Having ateenage victim also shows the weakness and

vulnerability that the teenagerhas showing the audience that she is helpless to

the situation that she is currently in.
