Fiscal Digital Bookkeeping (EFD) is a digital file that comprises a set of recordings concerning fiscal documents and other information of interest to state treasuries and the Brazilian Federal Tax Department, depicting the registers of tax settlings relative to operations and presentations accounted for by contributors. Therefore Fiscal SPED is no more than a file to be digitally signed and transmitted over the internet to the automated environment known as SPED.
