At Forestry and Nature Management we have a quiz ready for you to test your knowledge of birds and trees! Soil drilling A017 Forestry and Nature Management The soil is where all plant and animal life starts. There are many different types of soil in the Netherlands. We did some drilling this morning on the estate to see what kind of soil we have here. Curious? Come and see at Forestry and Nature Management. Happy Horse Housing A009 Animal Husbandry/ Equine Sports & Business During the workshop you will together develop the optimal housing system for horses. Then spend some time in Domiz in northern Iraq and find out what everyday life in a camp is really like. Cocoa Flavors Film project E007 International Development Management The film shows Linda Amponsah and Isaac Twumasi in cocoa warehouses of the port of Amsterdam and also includes historical footage and footage from the Visual Problem Appraisal Flavors of Cocoa and Chocolate. Workshop Sustainable Development Goals ( SDG) D009 International Development Management In a workshop you will learn more about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed Internationally in autumn 2015. The SDG Agenda 2030 helps us to save the future of our planet and challenges us to come with trans- formative ideas to create a beer place for the future generations. Time: 11.45 and 13.15 hrs. Demo: Digital DATA mining C009 Land and Water Management At Land and Water Management and Forestry and Nature Management we gather digital data with a Total Station and a GPS. Want to see how this works? Come to C009 and watch our demonstration video! Land- and Watermanagement C009 Land and Watermanagement Clime game: Pretend to be a water manager or put on your entrepreneurial hat! Combine safety, nature, economy and sustainable livelihoods within different target groups, and experience how you can make real change. You will develop plans, negotiate and create new opportunities. Play this game with fellow students or see the demo in the Land and Watermanagement room. Branch test E023 Garden and Landscape Architecture Knowing your shrubs and trees is basic knowledge for a garden and landscape architect. At Garden and Landscape Architecture you can test this knowledge. How many shrubs and/or trees do you recognize just by looking at a branch or a leaf? Visit of the estate and botanical garden E023 Garden and Landscape Architecture Visit a small cultivated part of our unique estate with one of our professors and get inspired in our botanical garden. At 10.45, 11.30, 13.00 en 13.45 hrs. Get busy in our Food Lab! A019 and A027 Food Technology Have a peek at our labs and see how students of Food Technology are busy developing new products.
