• Cartography task (FY12 & FY13) to revise the Map-A-Planet Web service (developed in 1997)– Improve navigation and viewing performance – Streamline addition of data products– Use an extensible architecture to enable future expansion

• Functions and processing options include– Selection of extent by latitude & longitude, map

(re)Projection, scale & resolution, pixel type– Resampling method, stretch, addition of graticule– Bands (if multi-band input) and mathematical functions– A variety of output image file formats, some including GIS

headers
