Coach education
• Training is now mandated in several states
• Oregon State Athletic Association chose ACTive for coach education
Program evaluation
75 youth sports coaches (athletes ages 10-14) from across the U.S.
Random controlled trial: ½ viewed ACTive ½ viewed control
training
ACTive evaluation results*
Coaches who took the ACTive training:1) Had significantly greater knowledge of concussion2) Were more likely to take action if they suspected
concussion3) Were more confident in making decisions about
concussion management
