The Bi-Weekly ReleaseEvery two weeks, Vintages introduces more than 120 new products. Our bi-weekly release catalogue is available to customers in stores, online and by mail. They include feature articles on varietals, wineries and winemaking regions throughout the world as well as tasting notes for each product.

This feature celebrating Rioja will highlight the region’s prestigious brands and fantastic older vintages that rival the fine wines of France and Italy, but at great-value price points – making these wines perfect choices for gift or entertaining solutions.

Potential Delay Of Release Catalogue Mailing

A potential postal strike may affect home delivery of subscribers’ November 10 and subsequent release catalogues. Customers have been advised that they can view the catalogue online or pick up a copy in stores. If the strike continues, we will be increasing store quantities of the catalogue, starting with the November 10 release, for the duration of the strike.

Each turn of the program spans two promotional periods and features two products from the collection on a front facing end aisle display.

The first period highlights LTOs on participating skus. Price offers will be promoted via newspaper and social media advertising along with a branded in-store display.

During the second period of the program, stores will maintain the end aisle display and sign with year-round signage.

Product Consultant picks hot buttons and backer cards have been created to leverage these useful recommendations and help customers make decisions in a section they may not be familiar with.

Merchandising Instructions:Write your recommendation and your name on the shelf talker hot buttons and display in the Vintages section of your store.

1. Create a Product Consultant End Aisle using the Backer Card.

2. Sign individual products using in-channel shelf talkers and overlays

Creating an End Aisle devoted to gifting makes Vintages the one-stop shop for great gifting solutions. Pairing gift recommendations with our new gift packaging makes Holiday shopping easy and encourages up-selling.

Merchandising Instructions Incorporate the gift packaging onto an End Aisle to create a display.

Best Practices

1. When displaying gift packaging on the End Aisle, be sure to create symmetry for easy customer shopping.

2. When merchandising wooden gift boxes, be sure to take off the lid so customers can see the products displayed in the boxes.

3. If merchandising products in gift boxes, be sure to save the CSPC code of the product. Place it inside the box or tape it on the bottom of the box so it can be easily scanned at the register.

4. Keep CSPC codes for gift packaging at all cash registers.

5. Install these shelf talkers throughout the Vintages section to remind customers of the excellent gift wrap and gift card options available.

The Zuccardi family is considered one of the most important forces in South American wine, and Sebastián Zuccardi is one of Argentina’s leading young winemakers.

Vintages is excited to welcome Sebastián Zuccardi, who will be pouring top bottlings from his family’s winery, as well as his highly rated single-vineyard wines. Guests will be paired with a special meal created for the occasion by the chefs at Toronto’s premier Argentine restaurant, Leña.

Luce della ViteA Supertuscan reborn

Last autumn in Montalcino, a new winery was born: Tenuta Luce della Vite. In 2017, it started a second life as an independent winery still owned by Frescobaldi but run by the new technical director Stefano Ruini and his staff.

Spend a fascinating evening with Stefano Ruini, a French agronomist and oenologist with 20 years of experience at various châteaux in the Médoc, who will discuss this rebirth and his approach to expressing the regional terroir. Guest will taste back vintages of their iconic wine Luce, as well as Lucente and their Brunello di Montalcino.
