Step 3: Have your parents complete the Parent letter (in English) page 5: This letter, like the Student Letter, is another introduction into your life. This letter will also be shared with your resident director and school counselor and should be as detailed as possible Step 4: Complete Family Album pages 6 & 7: Include as many pages as you would like for your Family Album and be creative! Be sure to include pictures of you and your family and some of the activities you participate in. Label all pictures clearly. You can use digital photos or color copies of the originals if they do not take away from the quality of the picture. Step 5: Request written recommendation letters from 2 separate teachers: Print out the 1-page recommendation form and give it to your teachers. This section can be completed in pen. The teacher can either give the completed recommendation to you or send it directly to the office. If they choose to send it directly, give them the address information shown on the top of page 2, or they can send it via email to: [email protected]. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: 1 recommendation letter must be from your English teacher, the 2 nd letter can be from a teacher of your choice. Step 6: Request an official transcript from your high school: An official transcript must have an official school stamp or signature. Please have the teacher/principal translate the grading scale to a 4.0 grading scale. Also keep in mind that the minimum GPA for students applying for entry into 9 th or 10 th grade is 2.5 and for students applying for entry into 11 th or 12 th grade the minimum GPA is 3.0. These are the minimum, cumulative grade point average (GPA) entry requirements. Step 7: Make a copy of the entire application for your records. We will review your application and if you meet all of the admission requirements, you and (if applicable) your international

agency, will be notified that you have been accepted to North Cedar Academy. Our Director of Admissions will send you an

Acceptance Letter and our Authorization Packet. The authorization packet contains all required permission forms which may

be needed throughout the school year. All accepted students will receive an Invoice for the tuition, fees, and room and board

(along with bank wire transfer instructions). A 20% tuition deposit is required to hold your placement at NCA, and the entire

balance must be paid prior to your arrival on campus.

2017-2018 tuition for 9th

and 10th

grade students is $43,000.00 + application fee (full school year) which includes all class dues,

most co-curricular and extra-curricular fees, all cultural immersion trip fees, and all room and board fees (3 meals a day/7 days

a week).

2017-2018 tuition for 11th

and 12th

grade students is $48,000.00 + application fee (full school year) which includes all class

dues, most co-curricular and extra-curricular fees, all cultural immersion trip fees, all University of Wisconsin course fees,

and all room and board fees (3 meals a day/7 days a week).

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Following confirmation of the deposit payment, each student will receive a signed I-20.

The Acceptance Letter, signed Receipt, the original signed I-20, and the student’s passport must be brought to the local

consulate or embassy for the F-1 Visa interview. The entire balance must be paid prior to your arrival into the United States.

A complete set of your previous academic records is critical to your application. Previous academic records are needed to build the student an appropriate schedule which meets our graduation requirements. We require all high school academic records for grades 9-12 and for incoming 9th graders, we require a complete 8th grade transcript.

For American high school students, the letter may be from any of your current or former high school teachers.
