On April 27th, we honored this year’s 12 high school seniors who were awarded the $12,000 UMSL Bound Scholarship. Thanks to all of you for making this opportunity avail- able our students! We are also pleased to announce that all 12 of these high school stu- dents have accepted the award and have been admitted for the Fall 2011 semester! Please join us in congratulating these high school seniors for their academic accomplishments! May 2011 News and Information The Advanced Credit program has earned full accreditation through the National Alliance of Con- current Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP). NACEP President Lynn Burbank remarked: "Through NACEP's rigorous accreditation peer-review process, the University of Missouri - St. Louis has dem- onstrated that it has integrated high quality standards-based practices across its concurrent enroll- ment program. We welcome UMSL's Advanced Credit Program as one of the sixty-three concur- rent enrollment programs nationwide that have achieved NACEP accreditation status." Thanks to all of our fabulous instructors and liaisons who have helped to make this possible. We couldn’t have done it without you! NACEP ACCREDITATION The University of Missouri-St. Louis is once again offering ACP students the opportunity to begin their transition to college and earn credit this summer. Any student who has successfully completed a course through the Advanced Credit Program may register for these classes, mixing college and high school students in a variety of courses. The university recently earned a community engagement classification from the Carnegie Founda-

tion for its institutional commitment and engagement to the greater community. UMSL was one of

Breakfast with the Deans !

A Great Success

The ACP welcomed over 50 dual credit students and their parents for “Breakfast with the Deans”. Deans and faculty from the College of Arts & Sciences, Pierre Laclede Honors College, and College of Education just to name a few, shared in casual conversation and could find them-selves “stumped” during the trivia game, “Stump the Dean!”! The event WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
