Part 1 (3 minutes)

Oral examiner: Good morning / afternoon. My name is ……..

And your names are…?

First of all I’d like to know a little about you.

Where are you from originally?

What’s the area/ your home town like?

The examiner will ask the candidates some questions about their life now, past experiences and future plans

Example questions:

What makes a good friend?... (Why?)

Who has had the greatest influence on your life?... (Why?)

If you could live in another country, where would you choose?... (Why?)

How important is sport and exercise in your life?

What do you hope to be doing this time next year?

Part 2 (2-3 minutes)

The examiner will ask each candidate to compare 2 of 3 topic related photos

Now I would like each of you to talk on your own about something. I am going to give each of you a set of photographs.

Candidate A here are your photographs. They show people doing things together. Compare 2 of these pictures and say why the people might be doing these things together and how they might be feeling.

Now Candidate B, here are your photographs. They show students doing different activities Compare 2 of these photos and say how helpful the activities might be in preparing them for their future lives

Part 3 (3-4 minutes)

The examiner will ask you to discuss something with your partner
