Switch off your phone and don’t even look at it

Ask them a question

• Don’t ask for Google-able information

“What % of the class gets into corporate finance?” versus “What networking opportunities are

available for those interested in corporate finance?”

Ask questions they’ll be able to answer

• Asking an alumnus about latest academic programs is probably not a good idea; instead,

you could ask about culture or classes

Ask for opinion/perspective
