What is Strong Acid?
A strong acid is an acid that is totally ionized in a solution. A strong acid will react with a
strong base to form a neutral (pH = 7) solution. completely ionized
strong electrolyte ionic/very polar bonds

What Is Strong Base?
A strong base is a base that is completely dissociated in an aqueous solution.
Strong bases LiOH - lithium hydroxideNaOH - sodium hydroxideKOH - potassium hydroxideRbOH - rubidium hydroxideCsOH - cesium hydroxideCa(OH)2 - calcium hydroxideSr(OH)2 - strontium hydroxide
Ex: NaOH(aq) Na + OH-

Continue…1. LiOH
LiOH → Li+ OH-
2. NaOHNaOH → Na + OH-
3. Ca(OH)2 Ca(OH)2 Ca2+ + 2OH-
4. Sr(OH)2
Sr(OH)2 Sr2+ + 2OH-

pH ScaleThe pH scale measures how acidic or basic a solution is. pH stands for Power of Hydrogen
pH = - log [H3O+ / H+]
