We utilize a combination of holistic treatments and some traditional methods to achieve wellness for our patients.

Overview of services provided for children: Osteopathic manipulation, sensitivity reduction technique (SRT…aka allergy elimination), homeopathic treatment, nutritional testing and supplement counseling.

Many children have many undiagnosed or untreated food and environmental allergies/intolerance

Avoidance is difficult at best; impossible or impractical at worst

Untreated allergies adversely effect the functioning of the body’s anatomy, physiology and biochemistry

Once “treated”, avoidance is no longer necessary in most cases

How do Allergy Elimination treatments work?

All foods, chemicals and environmental particles are considered potential “allergens”

All allergens have an electromagnetic charge associated with them

For a variety of reasons, disruptions can occur in the body’s life force (electromagnetic) energy, or “chi”

The electromagnetic charges of allergens “disrupt” the flow of energy in the acupuncture channels called meridians

In most cases, Yes!!

In some cases, NO The goal then becomes to make child less sensitive so that if s/he ingests one of these substances the response is less. Sometimes the avoidance is necessary for a short time, than the child can add it again.

We “enforce” this on a Case-by-Case basis (currently none of my patients are on both gf/cf after SRT)

Allergy Elimination Treatments often stop bowel problems and modifies behavior quickly.

We sometimes eliminate Gluten/Casein for 6 weeks and then reintroduce after completion of the Allergy Elimination Treatment for these foods (urine testing is helpful to determine need for elimination of these foods early in the treatments)

Cranial OsteopathyCranial Osteopathy is an expansion of the general principles of osteopathy which includes a special understanding of the central nervous system and a mechanism called primary respiration. Those who wish to practice Cranial Osteopathy train intensively through post-graduate studies.

William Garner Sutherland, DO (1873-1954), discovered, developed and taught Cranial Osteopathy in the early to mid-1900s. Dr. Sutherland referred to his discovery as Osteopathy in the Cranial Field(OCF). He never failed to emphasize that the Cranial Concept was only an extension of, not separate from, Dr. Still's science of osteopathy. Dr. Sutherland was the first to perceive a subtle palpable movement within the bones of the cranium.
