 SCRABBLE CHAMPION:

Hasham Hadi Khan, a 9 year old Pakistani boy has made the nation proud by scoring an astonishing 878 points at 6th International Scrabble Championship being held in Colmbo, Srilanka. 

Hashim beat Matheesha De Silva of Sri Lanka to become the youngest scrabble champion.

The Colombo Scrabble Festival began on Friday at the Bandaranaike Memorial Conference Hall in Colombo, Sri Lanka where 80 of the world’s best players showcased their linguistic talents.

WORLD'S LARGEST FLAG  The World's Largest Flag was made by VIP FLAGS

on the occasion of our 57th Independence day( 14th August 2004) in National Stadium Karachi.

The Flag was sponsored by Shell Pakistan Ltd and the occasion was graced by Chairman Senate Mr. Muhammad Mian Soomro. 

The flag measures 340ft x 510ft i.e. 173,400 sq.ft breaking the previous American Super flag record, which was 255ft x 505ft. 

The Flag is made of 110 vertical stripes, while the crescent and star was Hand Painted. It was completed in just 13 days.

WORLD’S LARGEST KURTA Karachi Designer Kurta is the World’s

Largest A humongous kurta from fashion designer Deepak Perwani in Karachi has been given the certificate of being the world’s largest by Guinness Book of World Records.

The kurta, large enough to be worn by a 175-foot tall person, was unveiled at a public ceremony.

The kurta was measured last month by professional experts.

WORLD’S LARGEST MILK PROCESSING PLANT

Pakistan Opens the World’s Largest Milk Processing Plant Swiss dairy giant Nestle has made Pakistan the home of world’s largest ever milk production plant.

The 2 million-litre-a-day Punjab-based milk processing facility will rise to over three million liters in coming years.

Pakistan is the world’s fourth-largest milk producer, and Asia’s second-largest, so the location of Nestlé’s latest investment is fitting.

YOUNGEST CISCO CERTIFIED

Irtiza Haider, a Pakistani student of class 8 from Faisalabad has been crowned to be the world’s youngest Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

He did it by answering 80 percent of the questions correctly in 2 hours, in order to pass the CCNA test.

JAHANGIR KHANJahangir is listed in Guinness

Book of World Records as having the most world championship squash titles.

He was unbeaten in competitive play for five years. During that time he won 555 matches consecutively.

This was not only the longest winning streak in squash history, but also one of longest unbeaten runs by any athlete in top-level professional sport.

HEAVIEST WEIGHT LIFTED WITH EAR

The heaviest weight lifted using only the ear is 51.7 kg (113 lb 15 oz) by Zafar Gill (Pakistan), who lifted gym weights hanging from a clamp attached to his right ear and held the weight for seven seconds on May 26, 2004 at Lahore, Pakistan.

LARGEST MOSQUE

The largest mosque is Shah Faisal Mosque, near Islamabad, Pakistan.

The total area of the complex is 18.97 ha (46.87 acres), with the covered area of the prayer hall being 0.48 ha (1.19 acres).

It can accommodate 100,000 worshippers.
