I. Author’s IntroductionMaintaining a system for order and upkeep is something that I take with great care to follow and develop each day. To everyone who knows me, and has applied the principles I teach, they tell me I am their role model for inspiring organization not only to their homes, but to their lives as well. I do my best to live up to this expectation.

III. The Consciousness to Maintain Orderliness

Maintaining an orderly, uncluttered home requires commitment. And commitment just can’t be met by one person; it has to be a team effort. Allow your spouse and your children to take part in the day-to-day transformation of making your home a clean and happy place to live in. Children can get in the way of your effort to maintain a home, and while it can’t be done overnight, below are a few more tips to get you in the right direction and tips to practice a neater point of view. When you can maintain this consciousness, you will begin to open up your mind to declutter the Japanese way as we lead to that later portion of the book.

V. ConclusionMy whole life I’ve set standards for myself, the things that surround me, the places I’ve lived, and the people I communicate with. It is about sustaining these unfaltering standards and the rest will fall gracefully in place.

Discarding, tidying, and finally storing your belongings isn’t the most difficult task in the world once you begin to acknowledge the value of keeping only the things that retain their importance—the things that make your heart smile the moment you enter the room.

The Japanese have a way of drawing a connection between not only themselves but also to the objects that surround them. When you start opening up to this thinking, then that is also the time you begin to be good at maintaining a home that makes you feel at home every time.
