Minnesota Communities Caring for Children ACE Interface Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) & Resilience Training Program Application for ACE Interface Presenter Training We are excited to announce that Minnesota Communities Caring for Children (MCCC), Dakota County Integrated Children’s Mental Health & Family Service Collaborative, Wayzata - Partners for Healthy Kids, Northwest Hennepin Family Service Collaborative, and Hennepin South Services Collaborative will be training a cohort of ACEs Interface Presenters on April 26 th & April 27 th , 2018 at the Hyland Park Reserve, 10145 Bush Lake Road, Bloomington, MN 55438. Many entities across the country are learning about the ACE Study and beginning to understand its implications for policy and practice. Drawing on lessons from the Washington Family Policy Council and the experience of Minnesota communities where ACE Interface presenters are active, we aim to develop a network of speakers and coaches to build community capacity to address challenging social and health issues using trauma-informed approaches. As part of this program, members of the training cohort will gain an understanding of the key concepts of the ACEs and Resilience Curriculum, facilitate community conversations as presenters of the content, and model community change through deep dialogue with cohort and community members. We encourage you to see the ACE Interface Presenter Certification as one of many specializations needed to create comprehensive social change around trauma- informed care. What is an ACEs and Resilience Presenter? An ACE Interface Presenter is someone who is trained and certified to present the ACE Interface Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences: Building Self-Healing Communities PowerPoint in their own community, and to engage with community members in implementing new ways of working in response to this information. Who is eligible to attend the Presenter Trainer Workshop? We are looking for a group of up to 30 people who: Represent the diversity of our community, including cultural, geographic, sector, and other diversity Have demonstrated ability to train or teach adults and youth Have basic skills using PowerPoint, laptops, and projectors Demonstrate ability to effectively reach communities or audiences of strategic importance Demonstrate self awareness, social awareness, and emotional management skills Commit to ACEs and Resilience presenter Agreement (details below) Agree to partner with our local Collaborative in this work over the coming 2-3 years. Description of Role and Responsibilities
Understand core concepts of ACEs and Resilience Curriculum
Present and share Neuroscience, ACEs and Resilience information
Facilitate dialogues so that participants can integrate this information at a values level
Be able to adapt to diverse audiences as appropriate
ACEs and Resilience Presenter Agreement Summary
Agree to complete a pre-training assessment and read background materials provided
Agree to participate in the full two-day training retreat with fellow cohort members on April
26th & 27th, 2018
Agree to co-present, with another member of this cohort of presenters, the ACE Interface
powerpoint at least twice within 6 months of the initial training
Agree to participate in an ongoing Community of Practice throughout the training process,
taking time to explore curriculum, shared values, best practices, vision for the future of this
work, etc., including 1 - 3 additional gatherings over the coming year
Agree to participate in quality assurance measures, including program evaluation processes
Apply your learning by identifying a trauma-informed project to co-design with your
community as part of your work moving forward

people who will be actively committed to presenting and applying this information in
partnership with the local Collaboratives.
