Technical Data Build Hands-On Electrical Skills for Residential and Industrial ApplicationsThis learning system features a heavy-duty welded steel frame with built-in AC and DC power supplies, instrumenta on, com-ponent moun ng surface, and component storage panel. It features industrial size electrical power and control components, typical of what learners will fi nd in the fi eld. Learners will use these components to prac ce hands-on skills such as oper-ate a circuit using a circuit breaker, test a capacitor using a digital mul meter, con-nect and operate a basic ligh ng circuit, locate a short circuit, and troubleshoot a transformer by measuring con nuity.

Build Foundational Electrical Knowledge and Apply It to Real World Applications

A sample copy of the AC/DC Electrical Systems Student Refer-ence Guide is also included with the system for your evalua on. Sourced from the system’s curriculum, the Student Reference Guide takes the en re series’ technical content contained in the learning objec ves and combines them into one perfectly-bound book. Student Reference Guides supplement this course by pro-viding a condensed, inexpensive reference tool that learners will fi nd invaluable once they fi nish their training making it the perfect course takeaway.

The AC/DC Electrical Learning system features an op- onal virtual trainer, the VT-T7017! Amatrol’s virtual

trainers replicate hands-on equipment in such great detail that learners will feel like they are using the actual equipment. Learners will perform essen ally the same tasks using virtual trainers that they would perform using equipment hardware. Transi on from theory to hands-on is a seamless process.

The T7017A’s curriculum begins with the basics of electricity and builds to show learners how electricity is u lized in residen al applica ons, as well as in industrial components and areas

such as programmable controllers, electrical motor control, and electro-fl uid power. Learners will study topics such as how to use a voltmeter to measure volt-

age, sta ng a formula for calcula ng total parallel resistance, the func ons of four electromagne c devices, how switches and used in combina on circuits, and how to troubleshoot a transformer. In addi on to the included printed curriculum, Ama-trol also off ers all of these topics and skills in an interac ve mul media format. This mul media features stunning 3D graphics and video, audio voiceovers of all of the text, and interac ve quizzes and ac vi es.
