Primary Uses of ACCUPLACER
• ACCUPLACER Placement Tests: used to determine if students are prepared for a college-level. Provides one scaled score.
• ACCUPLACER Diagnostic Tests: used to provide a detailed assessment of test-takers’ skills so that academic strengths and weaknesses can be pinpointed. Provides 5 domain scores.

User Roles and Permission Levels
The ACCUPLACER program has different User levels that allow the user to perform different roles and responsibilities.
• Idaho DOE• Institutional Administrator (IA) – Oversees and controls ACCUPLACER account
• Idaho High Schools• Site Managers (SM) – Manages a specific testing site assigned to them by the IA
• Proctor Reporters (PR) – Administers tests at his/her site and generates site-specific reports
• Proctors (P) – Administers tests at his/her testing site and generates site-specific score roster reports
• Reporters (R) – Can only create reports

Eligibility Criteria
• Proctors must be responsible adults trained to administer standardized tests
• Proctors may not: • be a peer or friend of the student • be students• administer TSIA to a member of their household
or immediate family • Proctors may not have a stake in Students’ scores • Proctors may not be employed part-time or full-time
at a test preparation company • Login credentials cannot be shared
• Generic Passwords are not allowed!
Proctors
Responsibilities
• Proctors MUST:• Ensure proper test security before, during, and after
test administrations (on-line & Companion)• Collect and monitor all prohibited items e.g. cell
phone, calculators, rulers, etc.• Safeguard against improper test taking/cheating
• Circulate test center during test sessions• Never engage in non-proctoring activities—e.g.
reading, eating, drinking, conversing, etc.• Collect ALL scratch paper and shred
• Provide students with scratch paper/pencils

ACCUPLACERID Requirements
• If administering ACCUPLACER to a student you do not know, request ID. • Students must be asked to present at least one form of identification
• The ID must include the student’s name, signature, and a recognizable photograph* • The identification must be checked before the student begins testing and rechecked at the end of testing• Acceptable forms of identification include current/valid:
• Driver’s license • High School ID• College ID• State or federal ID card• Passport• Tribal ID card• Naturalization card or certificate of citizenship• College Board official ID form

• Receive an immediate report
• MathJax – plugin for math problems
• Use of personal computers for testing is NOT permitted
• School-owned and student-issued computers, including Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, etc. that are permitted to be taken home by students is similarly classified as a student-owned device and therefore not permitted.
• School-issued laptops and tablets are permitted if and ONLY if the devices stay on campus

How to Administer an On-Demand Standard Test Session—As a Proctor
• Web address is accuplacer.org
• Enter Proctor Credentials to log in to your test site - User Name and Password
• Click on Administer Test Tab from left side navigation panel
• Click on Administer New Test Session
• Choose Branching Profile (test session to be administered to student) from dropdown menu
• Click on Administer Test button
• Student reads student privacy policy and clicks on Accept
• Student reads Student Instructions (customized by school – optional) students clicks on Close
• Student enters their ID number, confirms ID number, last name, and date of birth, complete demographic info page, student clicks on Start Test.

How to Administer a Voucher Test Session—As a Proctor
1. Web address is accuplacer.org2. Click Systems Requirements to ensure computer is ready to test3. If all items Pass, proceed to step 44. If some/all items Fail, and you are unable to correct the issues, contact your technical support
person for assistance5. Click Use Voucher6. Prompt the student to enter his/her voucher information from their voucher:
1. Voucher Number2. Last Name3. Birth Date
7. Click Submit8. Tell the Student to WAIT!9. Launch student test from the dashboard
