You can use this sheet to keep track of reminders for the different log-ins. However, we recommend that if you choose to record your log-in information, use symbols, hints, or a code (not the actual passwords) in case the sheet is lost. For example, if I use a childhood pet’s name as my password plus a number, I might write childhooddog1 as my reminder. Try to choose a password that can be used for all the eBook services to help you remember. Hints for picking a password are below. How to pick a password:

Don’t use any personal information like your name, social security number,

birthday, address, or children’s names.

Do use a combination of characters with symbols, numbers, and upper and

lowercase letters.

Do make it at least 8 characters long.

One easy way to create a very secure password is to intersperse two easy to

remember parts, for example your mother’s maiden name and your childhood

home zip code: Smith and 30002 can turn into: S3m0i0t0h2. Or the simpler

version: Smi30002th. To make it more secure, substitute in some symbols:

$mi30002th

Another method is to use an easy to remember phrase and pick only the first

letters, then substitute symbols. And she’s buying a stairway to heaven – Led

Zeppelin becomes a$basthLZ.
