13th ICPP

15―18 August 2014, Belgrade

The 13th ICPP Local Organisation Committee has selected several hotels based on the quality of service, proximity to the venue (downtown) and special discounts for the participants in the 13th ICPP. If you choose to stay in one of these hotels, please use the password ICPP when booking in order to access the discounts, which are available for bookings made until 1 June 2014. So please book your hotel early.

Hotel SQUARE NINE 5*

Square Nine is one of the top Belgrade hotels, located in the vicinity of the central Knez Mihailova Street (the pedestrian zone) and the Turkish fortress of Kalemegdan. According to reviews it is the best business hotel in town. The distance to the conference venue is 15 minutes on foot.

Hotel METROPOL PALACE 5* Best deal for quality

This is probably the best deal for those who want to stay at a 5* hotel while attending the 13th ICPP. Metropol has always been the heart of Belgrade's social life and the host to many conferences. Designed by famous Serbian architect and originally opened in 1957, the Metropol Hotel reopened in 2012 as Metropol Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel. The distance to the conference venue is 15 minutes easy walk. If you would like to stay in this category of accommodation it is highly recommended as it is within walking distance of the conference venues and very central for sigh seeking and access to any other events in the city centre. The hotel has been recently renovated. The conference organization team has checked the rooms, and they are all in top condition. The hotel has a fully equipped spa zone with a 25 metre swimming pool.

Hotel MOSKVA 4*

One of Belgrade’s trademarks.

Hotel Moskva is located at the very center of the city, close to National Theater, National Museum and the pedestrian district. It was recently renovated and offers a high level of service. The distance to the conference venue is 5 minutes on foot.

The hotel is located in the Belgrade city centre, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, Knez Mihailova Street. A boutique hotel often used by conference guests. It is 15 minutes walk from the venue.

Hotel NEVSKI 4*

Nice and comfortable rooms, a new hotel, however it is some 25 minutes walk from the conference venue. However this is the furthest hotel from the conference venue of all those recommended.

Hotel PRAG 4*

The hotel is in vicinity of all major attractions and has recently been renovated. It is very central and is literally behind the corner of the conference venues. This is the closest hotel to the conference. Has a nice bar and is often used for academic meetings. The distance to the conference venue is 2 minutes.

Hotel Balkan/Hotel Mr. President/Hotel Astoria 4*

This is a chain of three 4* hotels, all of which are close to the conference venues, well-tried by the participants in our various conferences, with high-quality service.

Hotel Balkan is the closest to the pedestrian zone, it is literally situated on Belgrade’s main square Terazije wherefrom one walks to the conference passing the Life Design hotel and Prag hotel.

Hotel Mr. President is 15 minutes walk from the conference.

Hotel Astoria is some 5 minutes walk.

Hotel Casina 3*

The hotel is perfectly located in central Belgrade, on the Terazije Square, opposite the hotels Balkan and Moskva. Although it is ranked 3* it has a bar that is one of the most popular places for Belgrade’s artists and politicians. It has recently been renovated.

Transportation from the “Nikola Tesla” Airport By taxi: 15 euro, duration approximately 25 min.

By bus to downtown: 2,5 euro, duration approximately 35 min to Terazije Square (downtown).

Rent-a-car: there are 20 different car rental services at the airport.

Transportation from the accommodation to the venue: The ICPP 2014 venue is located at the very center of the city and is at walking distance from all suggested accommodation locations. If you stay in one of the recommended hotels you will not have to use public transport at all. If you need a taxi in Belgrade for sightseeing, it is inexpensive: a one-way ride within the city centre should not exceed 3 Euro, and a ride across the Danube and Sava Rivers into other parts of the city up to 8 Euro. Sightseeing open roof buses also operate throughout the city, you can hop on and off at various locations. Local currency

Banks and money exchange

Foreign currencies are easily exchanged to Dinar (RSD) at exchange offices and banks in

Belgrade city centre or at the “Nikola Tesla” airport.

Dialing Codes

The dialing code for Belgrade for domestic calls is 011.

The international dialing code for Serbia is 381.

To dial Belgrade from abroad you must dial the appropriate international code, e.g. 00, followed by the dialing code for Serbia 381 and then the dialing code for the city (without the lead 0) 11.

In order to dial abroad from Belgrade you must dial international code 99, followed by the dialling code of the country, the dialing code of the town (without 0), and then finally the subscriber's number.
