The INKOMA-safety nut allows wear monitoring of the loaded nut thread and takes over the load in the event of failure of the loaded nut. In order to be able to observe the wear in the threads, the running nut is coupled with a safety nut. The set dimension X reduces with progressive wear. Hence it is possible to measure the wear under load and without the need to dismantle the assembly. Should the loaded running nut fail, the safety nut takes over the whole load. If failure occurs the entire running nut with safety nut should be replaced.

This electronically controlled lubrication device permits continuous lubrication to the trapezoidal spindle or ball screw. Normally Klueber grease (Microlube GB 0).

Advantage:- automatic lubricant supply for up to 2 years - lubrication period infinitely adjustable - precise adjustment of the amount of lubricant- always the same delivery pressure- weather tight, water resistant, rust proof- usable in the temperature range -40°C to +65°C - explosion proof to PTB and BVS- can be mounted in any attitude- re-fillable - environmentally friendly - two sizes: 125 cm³ and 475 cm³

Accessories for translating spindle versions SA, SVA

SR - Setting ring

Limit switches can be built into the screw jack to control operation between fixed positions or to limit the travel distance. Two standard options are available. Inductive proximity devices or electro-mechanical switches with roller followers.

INKOMA-setting rings fit to the spindle protection tube. Using the translating spindle version of the screw jack (versions SA and SVA) the limit switch is mounted in the centre of the setting ring on the protective tube. The switch will normally be orientated towards face D unless otherwise specified by the customer.

The compressed length of the bellows must be allowed for, resulting in a longer spindle for a given stroke. The extended length L and the max

GE - Cardan shafts

INKOMA-flexible cardan shafts are used to transmit the drive between screw jacks or bevel gearboxes. Two versions are offered dependent on the application.

Version GE is a simple and economical design, temperature and oil resistant for simple applications (within the torsional range). Cannot be disconnected by radial removal of the connecting element. Specification of the cardan shaft: select the maximum allowable speed n max.

If this is not the case the cardan shaft should be supported at its centre with a bearing. (suitable bearing units are shown on page 30).

GX - Cardan shafts

Version GX is a torsionally stiff coupling systems for long shafts and high speeds. The flexible component can be replaced without the need to displace the screw jacks. Specification of cardan shaft: select the maximum allowablle speed n max.

If the motor second shaft is fitted with a handwheel it is necessary to provide a device which disconnects the current before the handwheel can be used. When mounting the screw jack to face mounting motors, protect the windings from damage by observing the maximum allowable mounting screw length. See manufacturer's instructions. INKOMA-setting rings fit to the spindle tube. Using the translating spindle version of the screw jack (version SA and SVA) the Limit switch is mounted in the centre of the setting ring on the protective tube. The switch will normally be orientated towards face D unless otherwise specified by the customer.
