    About Welcome

Hello, Im Andrew Pritchard, a British, Cambridge ESOL EnglishTeacher. Im the founder of Accessible English.

I started teaching English while studying for an engineering degree.

I enjoyed it so much that I decided to become a full time English Teacher.

I studied for a Cambridge University based teaching qualication. This

Qualication is the top English Language Teaching qualication on the

market and is assessed by the University of Cambridge, among the top 5

    global Universities.

Since starting my teaching career Ive worked in some of the worlds largest companies as both a teacher and

    course coordinator/writer.

After teaching in Madrid, Spain I found that language learning had become quite stagnant. Many students had

been studying English and barely improving for years. Many academies / schools were behaving like gloried

recruitment agencies: supplying teachers and a classroom and paying the teacher as little as possible while

charging the student as much as possible. Classroom materials acted as a substitute for good teaching and

course structure. Finally, I felt that the biggest diculty in English - pronunciation - was at the bottom of

    the list of priorities.

Throughout my professional teaching career Ive always tried to do things differently. In 2010 I formed Ac-

cessible English. Limited. The aim of this company was simple: to offer individualrs and businessess lower-

price private tuition while taking advantage of the many benets video-conference learning has to offer. Iwanted students to be able to study in a exible manner, at home in the morning, during their lunch-breaks

and late at night when they nish work.

Over the last 2 years Accessible English has gone from strength to strenghth. The majority of new students

nd us through recommendations. We are now presenting newly created courses for the rst time to new

    and old students.

    Sincerely,

    Andrew Pritchard

    How do the courses work?

The benets of studying online.Studying online has several advantages.

    1. Greater exibility.Forget studying in groups at lunchtime or evenings, The courses are designed to be an unobtrusive as possible. t your Englishclasses into your schedule, from 8am - 22:00. if you need to re-schedule a class, thats no problem. And with a greater empha-

sis on self-study and recorded materials you can complete the course in your own time.

    2. Lower costWhen both the student and teacher are online, costs are lower - and so is tuition. Courses are as low-cost as 6.67 Euros per

course hour. When a private teacher travels to your home or oce the price must take into account the teachers travel time.

When its done online, theres no travel time, and if you need to re-schedule a class nobody is inconvenienced.

    3. One-on-one attentionYou can enjoy one-on-one attention for a lower price, studies show that one-on-one classes are almost 3x as effective as

large group classes. Your specic needs are dealt with, not the needs of the whole group.

    4. Online only featuresClasses are recorded for easy viewing later, all the self-study material is also audio-recorded and you can ask for help by e-mail

    at any time.

    About

The courses are module based. That means for eachmodule studied youll have a live video-conference lesson

and self-study material / homework to complete.

Modules are 3 hours long and contain 1 x 1 hour video-

conference lesson for each module. Youll get a recording

of the classes and the self study material is supported byaudio recordings.

Students typically study for 3 hours per week, the courses

can also be studied intensively, if required.

    Courses

    Perfect Pronunciation 30h

In todays competitive global workplace, good pronunciation in English is vital. It ensures that your message is delivered and

understood. Poor pronunciation can create a bad impression and often leads to doubts about the speakers general competence

and ability. If understanding your English takes effort or your accent is unpleasant, people will avoid talking to you.

This course has been written to help you deliver a clearer, more condent spoken message. This practical pronunciation course

will allow you to understand native English speakers and communicate with them in a professional manner, with condence.

Well study phonetics, pronunciation concepts and learn to pronounce the 200 most common English words

    This course is suitable for

People who would like to improve their English pronunciation

People who want to deliver a condent spoken message

Students studying for an ocial exam between B1 - C2 level (Intermediate - Prociency)

People working in the tourism / hospitality industry

    Actors and Broadcasters

Business people who deal with international clients

    People who work in aviation

This course is divided into 3 main areas: sounds (phonetics), concepts, and words.

    Sounds

There are 44 individual sounds in the British English phonetic chart. In order to speak with condence and sound uent, you must

be able to correctly pronounce each of these sounds. Over 10 modules we will learn how to pronounce them all.

    Concepts

Fluency in English is obtained by understanding several key concepts about English pronunciation. Unlike many languages,

English is rhythm-based, the speed is not constant, we dont prnounce certain sounds, dont emphasise certain words, change

the rules under certain circumstances and raise and lower the pitch regularly. This might all sound very confusing, however, well

cover 1 key concept per module, review the concepts regularly and Ill focus on the areas that you have diculty in.

    Words

It is said that 80% of English sentences can be formed using only the 200 most common words. In this course well cover the

250 most common words. Youll be able to pronounce the words perfectly and in context. This is the nal, vital element to the

    course.

    Course structure

In the course youll receive 12 hours of live tuition and l18 hours of self-study coursework. If you study the course over 12weeks

(recommended), youll get 1 x 1hr class per week, 1 x 1hr coursework and 1 x 30m review document per week to study. You also

get unlimited teacher support by e-mail for 15 weeks.

An external agency sent a teacher 4 x per week, on Tues-

day and Thursday afternoons and Monday and Wednes-day Mornings, this agency charged 35 per hour.

Now 6 separate courses are neccessary - the company

decided that the group classes can continue in smallgroups of two.

If the company wanted all 10 employees to have private classes with Accessible English then the total price would be

720 per month, still a substantial saving on group lessons with the previous provider.

Now all of the students enjoy exible classes at convenient times with personal attention Furthermore, some stu-

dents take their lessons outside of working hours, saving the company money in lost wages.
