We encourage all members age 16 and older to apply for a credit card. Applicants under 18 will need an adult co-signer. Even though credit cards may be a bit of a scary thought, they are actually a tool. It is the best way for young members to start building credit. It takes a long time to build a good score –start building yours today!

Keep in mind: Without a credit score, getting a loan for a vehicle or renting an apartment in college may be difficult.
