Access Permit Required Visitors to Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) and public fishing lakes owned by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries who are age 17 and older must have an Access Permit, unless they possess a valid Virginia hunting, freshwater fishing, or trapping license, or a current Virginia boat reg-istration. Daily and Annual Access Permits for WMAs and department-owned public fishing lakes are available for purchase online at http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/access-permit/ or by calling 1-866-721-6911 during business hours, or at any license agent. Cost for a Daily Access Permit is $4 and the cost for an Annual Access Permit is $23. The Access Permit, whether Daily or Annual, can be used to access any

Directions to C.F. Phelps WMA Sumerduck, VA: **Hunt Test Location** From Fredericksburg: From Interstate I-95, take exit 133B and go north on Rt. 17. Just north of Goldvein there is a sign for Phelps WMA and Sumerduck. Make a left onto Sumerduck Rd. (Rt. 651) and travel about 7.5 miles. The grounds are on the left. From Remington (from traffic light at Rt. 29/Rt. 15): Turn East on Freemans Ford Rd. (Rt. 651) and go through town (Main street). (Note: Rt 651 dog legs right when you cross the RR tracks in town.) Continue on Rt. 651 to the grounds on the right, about 5.6 miles

COURSES AND BIRDS All Test Levels will be single course with bird field.
Shooting by Official Gunners only; Junior Test will be blank pistol only. No horseback handling is permitted without an AKC accommodation letter.
Quail will be released for all test levels
All Handlers, Judges, Marshalls, and Gallery must wear blaze orange.
PRIZES–Standard rosettes to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. Special “New Hunter” ribbons awarded to all dogs finishing their title. Note: CVC is not responsible for verifying a title, but use the honor system and trust that the owner has kept accurate records. The ribbon is not associated with AKC but is a gift from the club.

JUDGES’ DINNER SATURDAY EVENING–In lieu of the traditional Judges’ Dinner, CVC will host its annual Membership Meeting and Christmas Party starting about 5:30 at The Lodge at Shady Grove. Entree and sodas provided; participants to bring side dishes. (See attached flyer.) A raffle will be held to benefit both CVC Rescue and Wilderness Pointer Club. Items benefiting which club will be noted and announced during the auction. All Hunting Test participants are invited to bring a dish, a raffle item and participate! Directions to the Shady Grove Lodge: From Remington, over the RR tracks, “straight” on Tin Pot Run which becomes Lucky Hill Rd. Travel about 1.3 miles on Lucky Hill, right on Old Grassdale Rd; travel 1/2 mile to driveway; left into driveway and left again toward brick house on hill. Park in the side yard. (See flyer for direc-tions from Phelps WMA.)
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase on grounds at Su-merduck. Camping is permitted on the grounds. Water and Electricity are available. There are limited electrical hookups and they are first come first served.

From Remington (Rt 651): Cross RR tracks and “stay straight” onto Tin Pot Run (Rt 651 dog legs right to Phelps WMA).
Travel 1.7 miles to Old Grassdale. (Tin Pot Run merges into Lucky Hill Rd. in about 0.3 mile. Travel on Lucky Hill ~ 1.4
miles.) Turn right onto Old Grassdale Rd; travel 1/2 mile to driveway (#12184 on the mailbox); left into driveway and left
again to brick house on hill. Park in the side yard.
From Phelps WMA: Turn left toward Remington. Travel 4.3 miles and turn right on Lucky Hill Rd. Travel .3 miles and at
stop sign, turn right, continuing on Lucky Hill Rd. Travel 1.4 miles, turn right on Old Grassdale Rd. Travel 1/2 mile to
