Development Direction of Power Supply (Based on Draft RUKN 2012-2031)

Power Plant

Directed at realistic growth, preferred to overcome the shortage of power

supply, support the MP3EI, increase reserves by emphasizing the utilization of

renewable energy sources and limit fuel generation development plan.

Geared to meet the electricity demand in the outer islands so that all people

have access to electricity.

Power Transmission

Open for use with the public interest with respect to the ability of the existing

transmission network capacity.

Directed to system growth, increase system reliability and reduce constraints

on the distribution system as well as the construction of new plants

Power Distribution

Open for use with the parties will utilize the distribution network by taking into

account the ability of the existing distribution network capacity.

Directed to anticipate sales growth of electric power, maintaining the level of

reliability and efficiency as well as improve the quality of care.

Behind the Change in Projects FTP 2

In support of economic growth, it would require additional generating capacity of

4,000 MW up to 5,000 MW per year.

In an effort to anticipate setbacks operating schedule several power projects.

A change in the electricity system development plan as stated in RUPTL of PT.

PLN (Persero) 2012-2021 which was approved by the Minister on 28 December

2012.

Letter of Managing Director of PT PLN (Persero) to the Director General of

electricity Number 0379/101/DIRUT/2013 dated May 7, 2013 related to changes

in the capacity and the name of the project, additional projects, and project

cancellations .

PROJECT FTP II – PLN Power projects owned by PT PLN (Persero) consists of 26 (twenty six)

project (ESDM No. 01 of 2012), with the status:

4 (four) in the stage of pre-construction projects with a total capacity of

1,514 MW and plans that COD 2015 till 2017 Upper Cisokan (4x260 MW),

hydro shavings 3 (2x87 MW), New Trenches power plant (2x50 MW), and

Takalar power plant (2x100 MW).

11 (eleven) projects with a total capacity of 2,125 MW are under FS,

auction Mining Working Area (WKP), the Engineering Procurement

Construction (EPC), financing, and exploration.

8 (eight) PLTGB total project capacity of 64 MW and 3 (three) power plant

projects with a total capacity of 54 MW proposed project excluded from the

list of FTP-2 (ESDM No. 21 of 2013), for the procurement of some projects

were canceled, too small-scale projects and some projects replaced with

another project.

Power projects owned by Independent Power Producer (IPP) consists of 72

(seventy-two) project (ESDM No. 01 of 2012), with the status:

Projects under construction and preparation of construction with a total

capacity of 105 MW is hydropower Wampu (3x15 MW) and geothermal

Patuha unit 1 (60 MW) with COD plan 2014-2015.

Exploitation of geothermal power plant project in stages with a total

capacity of 630 MW Geothermal Power Plant which Patuha units 2 and 3

(2x60 MW) MW, geothermal Ulubelu 3.4 (2x55 MW), geothermal Lahendong

5.6 (2x20 MW), Karaha Bodas geothermal power plant unit 1 (30MW ) and

PLTP Sarulla 1 (3x110 MW) with COD plan 2015-2017

Projects with a total capacity of 5,064 MW are under auction WKP

(geothermal area), publishing Mining Permit (IUP), appointment,

assignment, negotiation, closing biding, Letter of Intent (LOI), the filing of

Feasibility Assurance (JKU), Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), and

exploration, and development of specific PLTP Sarulla 2 awaiting results

of Sarulla 1.

Other projects with a total capacity of 491 MW proposed project excluded

from the list of FTP-2 (ESDM No. 21 of 2013), on the grounds, among

others, some project developers do not need JKU, too small-scale

project, the project will be built by PLN, and some projects changed with

other projects.
