  • Current Email Account/s – How to Export/Save your Contacts (Before Aug 28, 2020)

    From SQUIRREL (Export)

    • Select Squirrel (unless you are enabled Autoload in which case you will be logged into it already). • Go to Addresses (Top Menu)

    Copy and Paste your contacts into an Excel (Preferred) or Notepad/TXT document.

    • To copy all your contacts, you need to click (once) in front of each contact in your Personal Address Book (check box).

    • Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard. • Then click on the last contact. When done correctly, it should highlight all contacts.

    • Let go of the SHIFT key and then select the CTRL + C keys on your keyboard. This effectively copies what is

    highlighted. • Open Excel (Preferred) or Notepad. In Excel right click in the first cell and select “Paste Special” and Select TEXT

    and then OK.

  • • Once you Click OK your Address Book contacts should appear.

    • Keep this contacts.csv file saved until the new Acanac webmail platform is launched on August 28,

    2020 and then follow the instructions below to import your contacts.csv file into the new webmail platform.

    • If using NOTEPAD you would just need to open it, and PASTE the contact list. Although, using NOTEPAD means a few steps later and a little bit more manipulation before it can be used to IMPORT on the new site.

  • How to Import your Contacts (After Aug 28, 2020) Please follow these instructions to IMPORT your contacts after the new webmail platform is ready. USING EXCEL (Preferred)

    • Open the Excel sheet you created above. • Highlight column A and right click to delete column • Highlight row 1 and right click to delete row • (for Kay and Nav: replace screenshot below with new excel image with column A and Row 1 highlighted in

    yellow)

    • Click on address book (top bar)

    • Select import/export (left side)

    • Keep “Select the Format of the source File:” to “Comma Separated Values” from the drop down. • Please check Replace Existing address book with the imported one • Click on “Select the file to import:” and select the contacts file (contacts.csv) you created earlier.

  • • . • In Step 2 you should see the following (make sure “Does the first row contain the field names? If yes, check this

    Box:” is selected. Select NEXT.

    • In STEP 3, you need to match up the fields from IMPORTED and AVAILABLE as below. Than Click NEXT. Select an

    imported field and than select an available field – do this until all fields are selected. Before Selects Made;

    When selections are made – than click NEXT.

  • • Please note that First and Last Name will be under First name since that is how it was exported from SQUIRREL.

    So you will need to manual update that if you wish. • Once you click NEXT your address book is imported.

    If you used NOTEPAD.

    • Please note that if you were using NOTEPAD instead of Excel the process listed above is the same what changes is;

    o Delete the First 2 Lines as indicated below on the NOTEPAD file you created.

    o You should be left with this;

    o Now remove the space between the beginning of each line to the first entry. Once completed you

    should see this. SAVE.

  • o From this point you can follow the steps above for the Excel sheet but use your NOTEPAD file instead. The only other change is you need to make sure the following is changed when using NOTEPAD.

    o Everything else stays same.

    Thank you, and we hope you enjoy your more secure and more feature rich experience. Acanac Team https://www.acanac.com
