The mission of the Hialeah High School’s Fashion Club is to increase member awareness of the world of fashion. To assist with the development of leadership and teamwork skills through active participation in fashion related activities in school and in the community.

Electronic Devices Policy

Miami-Dade County Public Schools

Communications Devices:

Cell phones, which are used for communication purposes, are permitted in school, however, they must be turned off (not silent or vibrate) before school begins (7:30 AM), and remain off until the student leaves school (at 2:30 PM dismissal or early dismissal).

Recreational Electronic Devices:

iPods, MP3s, PSPs , and other similar devices, which are used for recreational, or entertainment purposes, must be left at home, and are not allowed to be brought to any Miami-Dade County Public School, at any time of day. Possession of any such electronic device will be cause for disciplinary action.

Hialeah High School enforces this policy.

CONSEQUENCES

Upon the first violation of the Electronic Devices Policy, the cell phone/recreational electronic device will be confiscated from the student and returned to the parent or guardian with a warning.

Upon the second violation of the Electronic Devices Policy, the device will be confiscated, and the student will be placed in CSI (Indoor Suspension) for a period of 5 days.

Upon the third violation of the Electronic Devices Policy, again, the device will be confiscated, and the student will be placed on Outdoor Suspension for a period of three days.
