GENERAL INFORMATION ON SCHOOL

Sanjivani International School aims at creating individuals who are capable of evolving

creatively and confidently with conviction.

Academic Session: The academic session of the school commences on 5th

April 2021

and ends on 26th

March 2022.

Syllabus and Curriculum: The school follows ICSE curriculum. The medium of

instruction is English.

Digital Classrooms: Through the digital classrooms which include interactive smart

class content, tabs and skype classrooms the complete educational process has become

very effective and enjoyable for both the students and teachers.

EduBrisk – LMS: A digital platform which helps Teacher – Parent involvement in the

learning journey of their ward, stress-free as all the requirements are under one umbrella.

Teachers can teach efficiently through active learning engagement

School Publications

The school publishes its newsletter quarterly on the School website, titled ‘Sanjivani

Connects’.

Character Building:-

While the school does not ignore the academic and physical education aspect of the

pupil’s need, the school believes in “Manners make the man!” Character building and

moral instructions are an important part of the daily discipline of the school. The school

therefore, makes an earnest endeavour to see that the children grow in the wisdom of the

heart and it is in the formative years of life that great care must be taken to fill the mind

of the child with ennobling thoughts.

Visits and Excursions:

The school encourages educational camps, picnics and excursions for all the classes and

age groups. Such visits not only help the students to gain confidence but also experience

new environment.


Sports:


EXAMINATIONS AND CONTINUOUS EVALUATION

1. The school follows regular and continuous evaluation based on the student’s performance

throughout the year.

2. Appearance in all evaluations is compulsory.

3. Retest will not be administered.

4. 90% attendance is compulsory for students to be eligible to take the final examinations.

Examination Pattern

Classes I – V

Unit Test Assessment (20 Marks) – Once in every Term

Term End Examinations will be conducted twice in a year.

Classes I – III : 60 Marks (Written) + 40 Marks (Internal) = 100 Marks

Classes IV - V: 80 Marks (Written) + 20 Marks (Internal) = 100 Marks

Classes VI – VII

Unit Test Assessment (20 Marks) – Once in every Term

Term End Examinations will be conducted twice in a year.

80 Marks (Written) + 20 Marks (Internal) = 100 Marks

Classes VIII – X

Cycle Assessment (20 Marks) Term End Examinations will be conducted for Classes VIII & IX twice in a year.

80 Marks (Written) + 20 Marks (Internal) = 100 Marks

Internal assessments will be structured and conducted as per the subject and syllabus.

Evaluation and Weightage

• Classes I to VII : Average of the Sum of Two Unit Tests (20 marks) +

First Term Examination (40%) + Annual Examination (40%) = 100%

Class VIII – IX : First Term Examination (50%) + Annual Examination (50%) = 100%

Conduct During Assessment

1. Students are expected to reach the school in time and in proper school uniform.

2. Students should carry transparent pouches and transparent writing pad.

3. Writing on question paper is not allowed.

4. Ensure to carry all the necessary stationery for the exam.

5. Visiting the washrooms is not permitted during the exam. Students having medical

problems must have a supporting certificate for the same.

6. Any kind of unfair means will not be tolerated and the student will not be permitted to

write remaining subjects of the examination.

7. Students missing any examination for whatsoever reason will not be reexamined.

8. Make a study plan, put the plan into practice, be true to yourself and achieve success.


Competitive Examination:

Opportunities are given to every student in different competitive examinations like Science/

Mathematics/ Cyber / GK / Talent Hunt / French / Social Studies /English/Hindi Olympiad,

NSTSE, Vocabulary exams, Homi Bhabha exam etc.
