• An exchange of students, professors and researches between Russian Federation and foreign countries aiming at education, skills improvement, modernization of scientific and teaching work, including students internship (Project of Education Law, article 137)
• Academic mobility is a movement of a person who is connected with the sphere of education for a certain period of time (up to a year) to another educational institution (in his home of foreign country) for study, teaching or research. On completion of the period a student, a professor or a researcher returns to his home institution.

Since September 1993 “The Norwegian Language Teaching” project has been implemented on the basis of the Norwegian-Pomor University Centre.

The most efficient students of the Norwegian Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages (PSU) carry out one-semester study at the University of Tromsø.

“Model UN” course
March 2007 – completion of the “Model UN” international project (10 ECTS credits) in Arkhangelsk. The course was developed in cooperation between the academicians and administrative staff of the University of Tromsø and the Pomor University, it combines distant learning and full-time studies.
Participants – about 100 students of the Universities of Tromsø, Oulu and PSU.

“Russian Studies” Since September 2007 one-semester “Russian Studies” program in English (30 ECTS credits) has been implemented. The course is offered to foreign students as well as to PSU students.
The course aims to give possibilities to students to get knowledge about Russian history, culture, language and society.

• Bachelor of Circumpolar Studies – with the University College of Bodø (Norway)
3 courses during one semester at the University College of Bodø – 30 ECTS 6 courses on-line – 60 ECTS 1 course of the home University – 90 ECTS
On completion of their studies students obtain a PSU Diploma and a Bodø University College Diploma.

• “Total” (France) The memorandum was signed in April 2009 between ATSU (present NArFU) and professors association of the “Total” corporation. A study course “Development of oil and has deposits” is implemented in the Institute of Oil and Gas (NArFU). Since 2009 the professors of “Totale” corporation conduct 3-4 courses in the Institute of Oil and Gas (NArFU) annually
• “Statoil” (Norway) «Statoil» supports NArFU’ educational program in logistics and transport.
