1 CSE3010 Database Management Systems IT A Database Management System (DBMS) is a set of computer programs
that controls the creation, maintenance, and the use of a database. It
allows organizations to place control of database development in thehands of database administrators (DBAs) and other specialists. A DBMS is
a system software package that helps the use of integrated collection of
data records and files known as databases. It allows different user
application programs to easily access the same database. DBMSs may
use any of a variety of database models, such as the network model or
relational model. In large systems, a DBMS allows users and other
software to store and retrieve data in a structured way. This course
provides the knowledge about querying a database through SQL(4GLs).It
provides facilities for controlling data access, enforcing data integrity,managing concurrency, and restoring the database from backups.
2 CSE302 Analysis & design of information systems IT The main objectives of this course are:
.To introduce students to concepts and methods of SAD(System Analysis
and design)
To provide students with new ways of looking at information .
To describe the systems development life cycle (SDLC) To give knowledge about effective methods for gathering essential
information during system analysis

3 CSE306 Computer Networks IT The fundamental objective of this course is to equip students with basics
of computer networks.A computer network, often simply referred to as a
network, is a collection of computers and devices connected by
communications channels that facilitates communications among users
and allows users to share resources with other users.
4 CSE314 Principles of Software Engineering IT Software Engineering is a profession and field of study providing methods
and tools for the connstruction of quality software with a limited budget and
a given deadline, in the context of constant requirements change. This
course is designed with the objective to help each student acquire the
software development skills.By studying this subject he/she will come to
know that how to identify & analyse a problem,how to design a
software/project and how to test a software.
