Early Life

• Abraham Lincoln was born on Febuary 12th 1809.

• When he was young he worked on the farm a lot splitting logs and made fence rails.

• When Abe was young he was very educated because he read a lot of books.

• Abe loved reading.• He stuffed books down his shirt because when

he worked he read.

Challenges and problems

• When Abe saw slaves he hated slavery right away.

• Abe really did not like the civil war.• Abraham Lincoln had a problem with healing a

divided nation.• Two of Abe’s sons got really sick and one

recovered and the son who didn’t that son died

• Abe was a great speaker. • Abe had great courage to speak against
