Abraham and Sarah

LIFE Abraham was a rich man who lived in a

city of Haran with his wife Sarah. They were both old and, to their great sadness, had never had any children.

One day, God said to Abraham ,”I want you to go to the land of Canaan. There I will make you the father of nation.”

Abraham didn’t understand what God meant, but he always did what God told him to do. So they headed out to Canaan and set off on there journey. It was a long trip but, at last they found new land and put up their tents.

At first there was plenty of food and water for them. But as years passed the herds grew bigger and bigger, there wasn’t enough food and water for them.

They knew there was not enough food, so the people went in search for food and water. Hours later some men came by and said ”we have a message from God to you”. “What is the message” said Abraham, “that you and Sarah will be having a baby boy” said the men.

Sarah laughed and said “we are much to old to have a baby boy”. But months went by and Sarah gave birth to a son. She called him Isaac. Abraham and Sarah were delighted that they had a child at last. And Abraham remembered that God told him he would be the father of nation.
