When it’s summer I hear a bird singing and waltzing from brunch to brunch in a happy mood. I spot it far away and stay still, so the bird gets closer and closer to me. It becomes brave and lands on my hand as I tryto feed it with seeds... but in a moment it flies away.

Aaliyah Wilson The Sun’s Arch (M. Uzowuru, T. Barnett, Arr. Aaliyah Wilson)

The world was quiet. Sleeping. Until one tiny bird dared to wake the sun. The sun stirred ever so slightlyas another bird joined in. Soon three birds chirped quietly in the dark. Suddenly a gentle ray of sun graced their feathers as it slowly rose above its bed known as the horizon. A dozen birds sang happily afteranother ray rose from its comfortable slumber. Soon enough a chorus of birds loud enough to be heard from sun rays away sang euphorically in unison. The world was roaring harmoniously now. Awake. Until it became time for the tiny bird to cuddle up and fall back into his slumber.

Sophia Birnbach Sparkle (Y.Noda, arr. T. Otto)After a long and exhausting hike you finally reach the peak of the mountain. Tired from your journey you sit down to rest, you slowly start to lean your head back and you open your eyes in amaze. Revealing a beautiful sky of stars that you have never seen before.

The best way to celebrate Summer is to throw a ball outside! A big orchestra plays on the big patio for adult guests. A small group plays in the sunroom for little kids. Alaia Stewart Sunset in Rio (M. Springer)

The sun was beating in the sky, and the smoked streets were trafficked with the bustle. The day went on, streaks of red bleeding into the clouds and taintingthe atmosphere pink. The air cooled as dusk drew closer, and it was prime for late festivities. The peopletwirled in the low heat, and mingled with ecstatic fervor. But while the sky’s hues had begun to dim, the dancing had finally come to its end in the fading light as the sun set in Rio.

Esther Sun Consolation #3 (F. Liszt)

Longing. You were the source of my longing. Longing forwhat? I don’t know. Something, I guess. Wonder. You perked my curiosity. You made my eyes shine with the excitement of finding something new. But what is this ache in my chest? Perhaps bracing for something to come. But what? Tears. You made me cry. Not a day passed when you didn’t remind me of the way warm liquid fell down my cheeks. Anger. You tested my anger. Always arguing with me about something dumb. Numb. I felt numb when were together. Perhaps that is a good thing. But now looking back on it, maybe I was happy too. Happy that you would take time out of your day to talk to me. Happy that you thought I was someone worth spending time with. Happy that you saw me as not an object to push around, but a person. Andfor that, thank you.
