PREPARATION OF POOL1. Inspectpoolforirregularitiesthatmayinterferewiththelocationoffencemountingbracketsand posts.Locateskimmertobesureitwillnotinterferewithfence.

2.Recommendeditemsneededforinstallation:cordlessorpowerdrillwithPhillipsheadscrewdriver, saw,pencilandmeasuringtape.

FENCE INSTALLATIONSTEP 1Constructmountingbrackets.Slidesupportintomountingbase(DIAGRAM1-A).Screw(2)#8x3/4”screwsintoeachsideofsupportattachingittothemountingbase(DIAGRAM1-B).Supportshouldbeinsertedflushtothebacksideofmountingbase.

STEP 2-AInstallmountingbrackettoeachupright(DIAGRAM2-A).When installing your fence, it is important that thereisnomore thana4"gapbetweenthepool’s toprailandthebottomrailoffence.Todeterminelocationofmountingbracket,simplylineupbracketwithafencepostattached(slidefencepostontomountingbracket,butdonotpermanentlyattachfenceposttomountingbracket as itwill need tobe removed), andmeasuregapbetweentoprailofpoolandbottomrailholeinthepost.Anywherebetween0and4"gap isacceptable.Once location isdetermined, removepostandattachmounting bracket to upright using (2) #12 x 1” self-tappingscrews.Usescrewcapstocoverscrews.

Once installed, measure exact distance from thebottom of the top rail to the mounting bracket. Usethat same measurement to determine location ofremainingmountingbrackets.Itisimportanttotakeanaccuratemeasurementasthelevelnessofthefenceisdeterminedbythelocationofthemountingbracket.

STEP 2-BINSTALLATION OF “ARTIFICIAL UPRIGHT” TO IN-STALL FENCE UP TO A-FRAME LADDER OR DECK:Requires(1)4x4woodenpostand(1)2"sheet-metalscrew.Positionladdernexttoapooluprightsoitcanholdthefenceononeside.Determinelocationforthe"ArtificialUpright"anddigaholeapproximately6"intotheground.

Measurefromthebottomofholetotopofpoolandcutthe4x4posttofitthespan.Placethe4x4postintothegroundso itfitssnugto thepoolwall.Attachthe4x4tothepoolstructurebyusing(1)2"sheetmetalscrew.Screwdownthroughthetoprailintothe4x4woodenpost.Fillinaroundtheholewithremainingdirt.Continuebymountingsupportbracketstowoodenpostusinginstructions(2-A).

NOTEBesurethepoolentrancehasaself-closingandself-latchinggateorladder.See“AboveGroundPoolFenceGateInstallationInstructions”(page8).

STEP 3Installfenceposts(DIAGRAM3).Startbyinstallingthetwofenceend-postsfirst.Theend-postsareidentifiablebyhavingrailholesonlyononeside.Fenceend-postsmustbeinstalledwherefencewillstartandstop.Slidefenceend-postontothemountingbracket.Allowatleast1/2”betweenthepostandthepool’stopcap.Thiswillallowforeasyinstallationofwintercover.Attachfenceposttomountingbracketusing(4)#8x3/4”screws.Continuebymountingremainingfencepoststomountingbracket.

STEP 4Installation of bottom horizontal rail. Measure distance between two fence posts and add 1” (DIAGRAM4-A).Eachsideofbottomrailshouldextend1/2”intoeachfencepost.Cutbottomrailtothismeasurement.Note:cutequalamountsoffeachendofrailtoensurebalancedspacingofspindles.Do not install top rail yet!Attachbottomrailtopostusing(2)#8x3/4”screws(DIAGRAM4-B).

Donotcutmorethanonerailatatime.Distancebetweenpooluprightsmayvary.

Continuebycuttingandinstallingremainingbottomrails.
