Virus is not a cell. Virus are non-living things basicallybecause it does not have the things required to be a cell, as they do not even have the common cell parts-like nucleus and cytoplasm. A virus is not even considered an organism. And unlike cells that can go through mitosis –a type of cell division that results in two daughter cells , each the same as a parent cell.
What Does a Virus Look Like?
A virus has many
different shapes and
sizes. Some look like
a hairy ball, while
others look like long
porcupines. The
picture on top is a
H1N1 virus while the
one below is a AIDS
virus. Notice their
unique shape.
A virus does not, I repeat does not qualify as a cell.
