ABOUT US We are a charitable organisation formed in 2017 with the aims of environmental protection and education centred around Knapdale in the Heart of Argyll. Our centre at Barrandaimh (Gaelic for ‘Ridge of the Young Stag’) is located in the beautiful Knapdale Woods, a 586 hectare Site of Special Scientific Interest, rich in birds, dragonflies, lichens, otters, red squirrels, Atlantic oak woodland and, of course, the Knapdale beavers. The centre is open from 10am seasonally. See website and Facebook for dates. WAYS YOU CAN HELP We are a social enterprise and raise a proportion of our running costs, but we rely on our funders and your donations to keep the centre open. HOW TO FIND USFrom Oban: Follow the A816 south toCairnbaan (35 miles).

From Lochgilphead: Follow the A816north to Cairnbaan (2.4 miles).

From Cairnbaan: Follow B841 for 3 miles. Turn left onto B8025 for Tayvallich. After 1 mile the centre is signed left at the top of the hill. Turn onto track and follow for 600 metres to centre car park .
