Central Michigan University’s online Master of Entrepreneurial Ventures is a unique program that teaches you what you need to know to start and build high-growth ventures. The full-time program takes one year to complete. The part-time program takes two years. You’ll study core entrepreneurship concepts and learn about the business, legal and tactical issues you must master for success. These include forming business entities, building teams, securing clients, raising seed capital, writing executive summaries, leveraging social media and technology, protecting intellectual property, negotiating strategic alliances, and harvesting gains. The courses build on each other and involve projects that will help you launch your venture. It is for students who: 1. Are admitted to the 2020 MEV program. 2. Complete all eligible coursework by Summer II term 2022. 3. Are not receiving dual credit and/or reduced tuition as part of the accelerated MEV program designed for CMU undergraduates. 4. Meet the CMU English Language Proficiency requirement if not a native speaker of English. 5. Submit a one- to two-page summary explaining: a. Your idea for a new venture. b. How this program will help you launch and/or develop your venture. The award is valid for the duration of the 2020 cohort, which runs through Summer II term 2021 for full-time students or Summer II term 2022 for part-time students. Recipients must be continually enrolled in the program and maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined in CMU’s Graduate Studies Bulletin. The award is not stackable with any other CMU award, including a graduate assistantship or a prior MET Award. Students who receive dual credit and/or reduced tuition as part of the accelerated MEV program, designed for CMU undergraduates, are not eligible. International students sponsored by their home country are not eligible for the MEV Tuition Award.
